Overview

The primary responsibilities of the Proposal Writer are to identify all requirements set forth in the Request for Proposal and plan project schedule.  You will serve as project manager from kick off meeting through delivery of final product. You will interview subject matter expert contributors and subsequently develop the Request for Proposal language.  You will develop the language, drafting of documents, and production of final proposals. The position will produce the final response in a creative, clear and succinct manner.

Responsibilities

Primary Job Function

 
 

  • Provide technical writing/editing support to Premiere Credit’s sales effort by providing written communication in a professional and creative manner                                                                                                                             
  • Facilitates with business units ensuring documenting processes accurately reflects current business environment
  • Prepare and maintain a repository of responses
  • Package and submit Request for Information and Request for Proposal responses including graphics, printing, and binding
  • Ability to work on multiple Request for Proposal projects at once

Secondary Job Function

 

  • Other duties assigned by management
  • Some travel participating in prospect meetings and/or delivering RFI/RFP’s to ensure deadlines are met

Qualifications

  1. EDUCATION

 

MUST HAVE: Bachelor’s Degree

 

PREFERRED: Bachelor’s in communication, journalism, English or related field

 

  1. EXPERIENCE

 

MUST HAVE:

  • Five years of related experience
  • Familiarity with the healthcare and state and federal government procurement processes
  • Mastery of written language
  • Ability to write in a manner that ensures that the final product is accurate, clear, concise, customized, and appealing to the intended audience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail
  • High degree of fluency in desktop publishing, graphics, Visio and Microsoft Office products

 

PREFERRED:

  • One year of proposal writing in a collection environment

MUST HAVE:

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management
  • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Judgment and initiative to work independently and complete writing assignments on time
  • Ability and willingness to understand the business and applicable regulations and processes as they apply to the individual project
